What SPECIFIC things happened between those dates that justify the insane hatred half the country has for Trump?
Seriously, give a few details. What ACTUAL events/conditions/situations occurred between those dates must absolutely NEVER be allowed to happen ever again?
Families separated and children put in cages.
He’s breathing my air. That’s gotta stop.
Never mind.
His mismanagement of the Covid crisis and bullshit beliefs in Ivermectin and swallowing bleach led to a significantly higher death rate among Republicans than Democrats.
I can go on, but I will leave the fact that 3x as many Americans per capita died of Covid than Canadians and that includes the fact that Canada completely screwed the pooch at managing Covid outbreaks in long-term care homes in 2020.
A Presidential candidate colluding on an act of war by a foreign country to control the US.
Three autocratic Supreme Court justices, including another probable rapist.
An attempt to violently overthrow democracy in the US.
That a good start?

-Appointed unqualified family members (as well as charlatans and bigots) to important government positions
-Deliberately separating children from their families to punish them and dissuade other migrants – this action alone likely created hundreds of orphans, and we may never know the full extent.
-Attempted to pressure the Ukrainian president to help Trump politically by pretending to dig up dirt on his opponent in exchange for military aid (which resulted in his first impeachment)
-Called white supremacists in Charlottesville “very fine people”
-Pardoned some truly terrible people
-Attempted to overthrow a lawful election in which he lost (resulting in his second impeachment)
There’s much, much more, of course. This is just a tiny taste, but more than enough to make him, by far, the worst president in my lifetime (and one of the worst in American history).
Just go read through the Trump Clusterf*ck thread(s) in the Pit. That should give you some idea.
He did a lot of things to anger me, first of all separating kids from families at the border.
But to me the final straw was his active attempt to completely sabotage democracy. That isn’t at all an exaggeration. When he realized he was going to lose, his reaction was to convince as many people as possible that voting doesn’t work because everything is rigged. He then went so far as to try to sneak in fake electoral votes and gather a mob of people to attack the capitol to stop his opponent from being certified.
He is literally an enemy of the United States.
Nothing can justify hatred.
The worst specific action, from the early part of his administration, may be the Muslim travel ban (Executive Order 13769).
The worst from the last part may be What Trump Asked of Pence. An example:
What’s that supposed to mean? Of course it can.
When we’re done this thread, I’d love a similar review of what President Biden has done that would justify an impeachment inquiry.
He activated and encouraged the very, very worst people in the United States.
