I have three, as well, but we only get twenty total, so there’s just one DQ left to be asked.
I think I still have at least a half-dozen.
Might it help if we knew the sex of the author?
In the past DQs that take the total beyond 20 have been answered, but I don’t know if there’s a rule for it. Maybe I could allow each individual to ask as many as would take the total to 20 if they were the only one asking?
Very generous of you - thanks!
DQs:
Is the author male?
First appearance after 1980?
Did she kill or cause the death of anybody?
My intention was less generous than you seem to have interpreted it. In retrospect, I should have said “I could allow each individual to ask as many as would take the total to 20 if they were the only one asking from that point on?” So if someone takes the total to twenty, other players can ask DQs as if that person hasn’t asked - so in this case, I’m allowing each player 1 DQ. Pick one of your 3.
If I were hosting, and came home to find enough DQs waiting for me to bring the total up to say, 21-25, I would answer all of them (and have done so). On the other hand, once the current total - and the remainder to 20 - has been pointed out to everyone, then I would start with the first question asked and continue until there were exactly 20.
Okely-dokely.

DQ: First appearance after 1980?
Hmmm. Jordan? Martin? I haven’t read any of their books. What other men have been writing fantasy? I can mostly only think of female fantasy authors…
Well, there’s Piers Anthony’s Xanth series, Asprin’s Myth Adventures, Peter S. Beagle’s The Last Unicorn, Bellairs’ The Face in the Frost, Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes, and so on.
But I’m not coming up with a villainess whose first or only name starts with C yet.

IQ: Are you Joffrey’s mother by your brother Jaime?
Welcome back, Le Ministre! As for your guess, my own reaction is :smack:!
Ooo. That could be it!
I am indeed Cersei Lannister, Queen of Westeros ! Congratulations, Ministre!
What book is that?
Well, that is a fun way to come back to one of my favourite games!!
I’m going to go away and have a think, and start a new round either late tonight or early tomorrow.
My apologies for a long absence, my friends. I have been rather swamped of late. However, the website is launched, my current show has opened, and my CD launches in a few weeks - I have a little more time to spare now.
It’s a whole series, “A Song of Ice and Fire”, by George R. R. Martin. The series is better known as “A Game of Thrones”, the title of the first book. I think the telly series is just called “Game of Thrones”.
Way to go, Le Ministre! Looking forward to the next round!
Likewise - good job! Kicking myself that I didn’t get her. I’m a Game of Thrones fan from 'way back.
