Knead, where did you find out that it went on sale today (Mar 31st/Apr 1st)?
The site you linked to and the photo included there show dates of 2007.
According to Suntory (the Pepsi bottler in Japan), the product debuted in May 2007.
Checking the same Suntory site, they don’t list it as a current product.
Perhaps it is a seasonal (late spring through autumn) product.
Aw, crap. I didn’t even look at dates, just posted the link I got from the gf.
I’ll be thinking up ways to break this news to her gently.

If it’s any consolation, I tried in when I was there. It tasted like drinking watered-down cucumber melon perfume. 
Weird, I’d seen this posted elsewhere as a cool new product and immediately thought “Mmmm… wonder if that’s as good as the cucumber sorbet I had the other day.”
Glad to hear I didn’t miss out on much, tho. 
Jesus, still sealed soda is now a collectible? Do they publish price guides for it? What’s the going rate for a near mint 1980 can of Rondo? 
Even more now that I’ve learned that she thinks that price for that item is as ridiculous as I do. 
Perhaps it’s something that’s only available around the start of April…
