Okay, it’s late at night and UPN is running the “Real TV” ad showing a referee being struck by a javelin. Where and when did this happen!? What happened to the referee!? I don’t remember hearing about that!
I will try to search for details but I do know that he was hit in the arm and it didn’t cause too much damage ( very lucky man ) .
I’ll be back if I actually find something concrete.

Well the one I saw was in the arm ( a guy with a hat on ) but from searching google for “javelin accident” there seems to be a lot of incidents reported .
This is why you will not see “javelin catching” in the Summer Olympics.
