The problem with this new thread is that what we were discussing at the time the old thread was closed was whether Trump will replace Vance, and if so, with whom.
But now that would be a hijack in this thread entitled “JD Vance Discussion Thread”. Are we supposed to start yet another thread?

Trump showed his overconfidence in selecting Vance. Handily beat Biden in the debate and sent the Democrats reeling. He got shot at and a yuge photo-op resulted. Court cases breaking his way. Convention was more coronation than anything else. Let’s double-down on more Trumpism by picking one of the most Trumpy Trumpist Trumpers that isnt, in fact, Trump. Yeah, that’s the ticket! Give people more Trump! Everyone is saying that’s what they want - the Democrats’ got nothin - beleive me!

I don’t think it’s a hijack in this thread to discuss possible replacements, unless the thread becomes solely about that. If it actually happens, meaning if Trump dumps Vance from the ticket, then it would be better to start a new thread if/when that event occurs.
Did it come up in the other thread that Trump picked Vance at Don Jr.'s urging?
That makes me chortle every time I think about it.

I like s/ how vance thinks, “postmenapasal females” function? excuse for still existing when the baby factory dries up? Is to help their breeding … errm child bearing daughters.
I can just imagine some of the policies he’d endorse if he got his Hand Maid’s Tale U.S. wish.
I think I hate this guy more than I hate trump.

I dunno, there’s a point where showing how weird your opponent is can make you look weird. Then you resemble MTG flashing Hunter’s nude pics in Congress. I think they have plenty of other material.
