jeans for body builders

My son works out a lot, and has large thighs, so the skinny jeans don’t work for him. His waist is a 32. Does anyone know of a brand or style of jeans that would work for someone built like this?

Has he tried standard brand “relaxed fit” jeans?

Levi’s 569 seem to be popular here.

Ditto 569s. I had the same problem/solution in high school.

Moved to IMHO from General Questions.

This is a thread for which I am uniquely unqualified to give advice. Sorry. That’s all I had to add. :frowning:

Relaxed fit or Carpenter style jeans provide more room in the legs and crotch.

What’s wrong with Zubaz? Isn’t that the required uniform of bodybuilders everywhere?

You’re asking two very, very different questions there.

My daughter recently used makeyourownjeans.com and was quite impressed with the service. You choose your fabric, pockets, details and input all your own measurments for a pair of jeans that fit correctly.

Awesome!!! I popped over there to check it out and expected it to be expensive. But $50-$70 for custom jeans? I’m ordering a pair this weekend

And chinos and dress pants? Holy crap…

The website is occasionally frustrating and trying to find definitions for some of their styles was a challenge but yeah for the price it was worth the effort.

I don’t know what brand my son uses, (waist 29, huge thighs) but they are just very loose with no form fitting at all.

My eyes! My Eyes! There needs to be a warning as this link is not safe for anyone, anywhere.

Sounds like “crybaby” Crosby, who was doing an interview and he was saying he can’t buy jeans without getting them specially fitted, because hockey players have big butts

Anything but skinny jeans. By definition these things should be off your list (not to mention the only people who wear them are girls and the Jonas brothers).

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll definitely have him check out your suggestions!

I played Hockey for 10 years, so I have big glutes and quads (butt and thigh muscles).

I also lift weights a lot : 5’10" and 225lb 32" waist

I can only wear certain jeans with my legs and butt being more muscular than average.

I wear :
Lucky Brand 131 's
Levi 550 (If you are feeling more generic)
Levi 559 (a bit tighter than 550 but slightly more stylish)
Mavi’s “Max” series jeans (I think Mavi discontinued the Max series though)
Express Brand “Blake” series
I have some Calvin Klein ‘Relaxed Straight’ Jeans from 4 years ago that are awesome. I’m sure he changed the cut though;(

Buckle makes several but I find most of them too funky fresh for me:)

It’s Lucky Brand 181 and not 131.

181’s are called ‘hockey player’ jeans at the mall 'cause they fit big legs and butts.

**Carhartt jeans **relaxed and loose fit are great too!
