Jedi ‘religion’ grows in Australia
The Jedi Creed
The Jedi Creed is the faith in a Force that exists in all things. We are one with it. We can’t run away from it simply because it exists within ourselves. We are part of it, and we spread our Creed, our principles, our teachings, and our words of faith to others that seek it. Our knowledge is here so that others may learn…so that you may find your own answers. So that you can make the decisions for your own self.
To be enlightened is to understand your own Creed. To be educated and to be taught of the ways in which we are part of, in which we are made of. Ones who believe in perusing the truth. To be wise, to respect others and to listen and learn from those who live and has lived life…as we do now.
We are the caretakers. We are the peacemakers. We are the truth, the just, the order of peace. We are Jedi.
Didn’t we just do this a few months ago?
It’s just a set of movies, fer cyin’ out loud.

Some people just don’t know when a joke isn’t funny anymore. It’s not even going to make the alleged difference to census statistics –
The Australian Standard Classification Of Religious Groups (ABS Cat. No. 1266.0) lists all religions which the ABS has identified and is used for coding census responses. The criteria used for recognising something as a religion are discussed in that publication and go beyond the number of responses a particular answer receives in the census.
The classification is is periodically updated when new information comes to light. Answers such as Jedi and others which have not to this point in time been identified as a religion in the classification will be coded to the one category"not defined" , which is the label to be used in standard census output reports.
(from the Australian Bureau of Statistics )
I’m personally waiting for the religion of Muad’Dib to get started.
what, no worshippers of the ipu?
I still prefer the philosophy of Homer Simpson. “Everyone is stupid except me”.
Am I the only one who thinks it would be cool to be a Bene Gesserit?

How embarrassing
My Brother-In-Law fell for this too. After he told us, I directed him to Snopes, which warned that no matter how many people put it down, it wouldn’t become an official religion AND the Bureau of Statistics could fine you for providing false or misleading information. Of course, my BIL was in hospital with pneumonia the night of the census. In 100 years when they release the census, his descendants will wonder exactly what kind of hospital he was in…!
But only girls are allowed to be taught the Bene Gesserit way.
Jedi vs Bene Gesserit vs Kolinar Vulcans
WHO WOULD WIN?

Interesting to note that the initial rumour (at the time of the census) said that the amount needed to “register” a religion was 10,000 …
