Jeff Gordon's Racecar at Ballys

The other day, one of Jeff Gordon’s NASCAR race cars appeared in Ballys Park Place casino in a promotional benefit.

One of Jeff’s pit crew, me, my general manager for valet parking, and about 15-20 Ballys executives rolled this car from the Valet Garage through the loading dock to the Meeting rooms on the sixth floor.

Note: the casino and garage were constructed to have a loading dock capable of facilitating transfer of pallets moved around by skid jacks, not full sized automobiles.

This race car had to negotiate hairpin turns which no amount of cutting of the wheels would alleviate. A trick I discovered years ago is using kitchen serving trays slid under the wheels; the car is then pivoted around, using the trays as casters.

In the link provided, there is a video file if the car being wheeled in: at time index
0:40, you can get a glimpse of me in the maroon jacket, bent over  pushing the rear bumper.
