Outstanding news - Jeffrey Epstein, Hedge fund manager and Friend of Donald, has been arrested for sex trafficking minors. He could face 45 years in prison. He’s been arrested by the hard working Southren District of New York.
From Daily Beast, who have been pursuing the Epstein story -
I seem to recall his agreement with the feds in Florida promised him immunity for other charges than the one he agreed to. That agreement has been found to have broken the law by not informing the many victims of its progress.
I suspect that the SDNY is banking the angle that they never promised Epstein immunity for crimes committed in New York.
Epstein’s due in court on Monday. Expect a whole lot of pissing and moaning from lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who is himself accused of participating in Epstein’s child sex ring.
Trump lackey Alexander Acosta, currently Secretary of Labor, is also implicated in having brokered a plea deal for Epstein in 2008 that pretty much let him off the hook with few repercussions despite a federal investigation having identified 36 underage victims:
If you’re gonna be a pedophile, it’s good to be a rich one. Same goes for being a misogynistic predator, as Trump knows. It’s all right in the Republican playbook, under “Family Values”.
Which President flew on Epstein’s private plane 26 times? Oh yeah Bill Clinton, inconvenient truth is that the guy was a huge democrat donor till around 2004 and then started donating more to republicans, why the need to politicize the issue? The guy is a sick fuck and people on both sides took his money, and hung out with him.
Only the republican side, in the form of DA Alexander Acosta, Trump’s future Labor secretary, went on to write Epstein a sweetheart deal that got his charges handwaved away. Only the republican side went on to reward that cooperative DA with a cabinet position. Only the republican side, in the form of our current federal prosecutors, are still arguing that Epstein’s original deal should stand even if they broke the law the in implementing it.
As for Bill Clinton - as far as I can tell, no one’s accused him of doing anything but catching a free plane ride (unlike Epstein, Donald Trump and Alan Dershowitz, who’ve all been accused of rape, directly by name.)
But hey, if anyone does accuse Bill Clinton directly, then I hope they throw the book at him. Only the republican side seems to think that mentioning Bill Clinton will give normal people second thoughts about pursuing real charges versus Jeffrey Epstein.
Broaddrick’s got nothing to do with these particular charges against Epstein and the people on his plane (go round and round).
The reason that there were never any charges in the Broaddrick case is because she steadfastly refused to discuss the case publicly or file charges until the statute of limitations ran out.
Despite being begged by Ken Starr and other Republicans, Juanita Broaddrick refused to make any official statement about Bill Clinton under oath - except for a sworn deposition in which she states that he never touched her.
So, you know, absolutely nothing like the women who have been clamoring to have someone press charges in the face of prosecutorial protection for Epstein, Trump & Dershowitz.
As far as I can tell, no one related to the Epstein case has accused Bill of anything. I could be wrong. Maybe more charges will be filed. If someone has the goods on Clinton, let’em rip.
Either way, the Republican whataboutism as they desperately wave Bill Clinton’s name about will remain super ineffective.
Great, so if Bill Clinton is found to have done anything wrong here, I would like to see him in jail for it. So, the question is why do you find the need to politicize the issue?
“Q: Have you ever had a personal relationship with Donald Trump?
A. What do you mean by “personal relationship,” sir?
Q. Have you socialized with him?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Yes?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?
A: Though I’d like to answer that question, at least today I’m going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.”
Also from this interesting article:
“Trump was also listed in this section. Under his name were 14 phone numbers, including emergency numbers, car numbers, and numbers to Trump’s security guard and houseman.”
This article further makes the point that Trump, who attacked Clinton for everything real and imagined, didn’t touch this issue with a ten foot pole for some reason.
