My step-daughter made vodka jello shots for her 21st birthday party. They have been sitting in the refrigerator for two days. Has the alcohol evaporated or do these things still contain alcohol?
They still contain alcohol, I’ve kept Jello shot up to a month (before I used them all)
Alcohol is volatile but it isn’t *so *volatile that it would evaporate out of Jell-O that fast. If they still contain water, they still contain alcohol. I think the liquid is mechanically bound up in the gelatin which would discourage evaporation, especially if you keep it covered.
The lower temperature should also discourage some of the evaporation.
