NEW YORK (AP) - Jennifer Lopez and her dancer-husband, Cris Judd, have separated, a source confirmed to The Associated Press on Friday. The source said the pair parted amicably and have no immediate plans for divorce. Judd appeared prominently as a background dancer in the video for her hit “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” but in recent months has become more active in her career. He directed the video for the Ja Rule remix of her song “Ain’t It Funny,” and choreographed her recent NBC concert special.
—oh, like, no! Now my whole weekend is ruined! How will I survive till I find out if they’re going to reconcile!? I had thought of “Lopez and Judd” as the new “Gable and Lombard,” but it seems I was laboring under a misapprehension . . .
Neat – I knew it would happen, of course, but it looks like this is going to be the first high-profile celebrity marriage that fits completely within my own.
Some channel I surfed by today had a news teaser that said, “Big news about J.Lo’s love life!” I thought that was pretty much an impossibility. I see I’m right.
