Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were set to say “I do” on September 14, then came the postponement and the reported breakup.
Now the ring has returned to Jen’s finger as of yesterday and director Kevin Smith, who is very close to the couple, told Access Hollywood that he believes the wedding will go on.
Holding my breath? My face is turning blue over here! I just hope that it’s true. One of these days that J.Lo will find a man that will treat her with the respect worthy of a diva, and cultural icon like herself. Whether that’s B.Af or P.Diddy or some other (future) husband, I cannot say. I just hope that she finds a nice boy to settle down with so she can finally have the happiness and privacy she has always desired and richly deserves.
I don’t think that “crushed” and “devastated” would be too strong of words to describe my feelings when I heard the glorious event of J.Lo’s wedding would be called off. What a sad day. Hang in there J.Lo, there are plenty of fish in the sea, especially for someone like you who is: still, still Jenny from the block. A downhome, haven’t-forgotten-my-roots woman deserves the best in life, and some day she will find it. I’ll be first in line to buy the issue of “People” when that day finally comes.
Everyone should just leave them alone, if J.Lo did in fact have to make a huge announcement, flooding the press with the news that the wedding was cancelled to keep people from bothering her and her one true love, then, well, I think people should be ashamed of themselves. Leave the poor girl alone!
We need a good rumor about J. Lo. So far the media hasn’t given us much. How about her and Portia DeRossi got caught making out and Ben caught wind of it and that is why they put the wedding on hold?

Ben’s longtime pal and “Jersey Girl” director Kevin Smith may be right. Jen is once again sporting her $3 million pink diamond engagement ring, even more reason for Kevin to throw the book at Ben.
“Any thoughts about sending a ‘How to Get Married for Dummies’ book to your friend Ben or any of that kind of stuff?”.
“I don’t know, I mean first you got to get him to the altar before you can give him the manifesto or the manual on how to stay married,” joked Smith. “He really does need the how to get married book.”
