Yeah, every American musician should strive to be just like Alanis Morrisette. ALL HAIL CANADIAN MUSIC!!
[sub]disclaimer: I know that there are some respectable bands to come out of Canada. However, picking the worst that American pop culture has to offer is a cheap shot.[/sub]
I never said Canadian Pop was any good, truth be known they bother me all the more for their emulation of American Pop.
Canadian artists like the Jaggid Little Shrill try to get picked up by the big American lables to make some cash, just like the American ones. And why not? There’s a hell of a lot of it to be made.

Well let’s see. Ms. Lopez started taking dance lessons in preschool, danced in many rap videos, IIRC she was a part of MC Hammer’s dance mob, was a Living Color Fly Girl, was offered a position as a dancer on Janet Jackson’s 1993 World Tour.
Now I know enough dancers to know that you don’t get offered a position to offically dance with Ms. Jackson if you “can’t dance”. From what I understand, dancing with JJ is one of the Holy Grails of professional dance.
The musical stage on SNL is roughly the size of a postage stamp. I think it’s rather unfair to judge someone’s dance skills in that constrained environment.
Nah, Will Smith is choreographed to death in a lot of his videos and it still looks like he can’t dance. They’re choreographers, not miracle workers.
