Is “censured” the same as “impeached”? IIRC, it was suggested during Watergate that Nixon be censured rather than impeached, as the latter would involve a Senate trial and possible removal from office. (Needless to say, this suggestion went nowhere, and no, I don’t remember right offhand who made it.)

Uhm, no, I never joke when it comes to lawsuits against people or organizations with money.

Jackson was censured over the First Bank of the United States kerfuffle. Censure is not impeachment.

Never said it was the same, just saying what happened to Jackson, based on the anecdote recounted in the thread.
