It has nothing to do with bashing. As stated in my post, I’m trying to figure out if the timeline holds. In the first episode, Jake goes to town, visits the farm, sees dad and asks for money, runs into his old girlfriend, leaves town, gets in wreck as he is leaving town. In this episode, he’s apparently going into town as the nukes go off.
Anyone know if this is the correct sequence from the first show or am I not remembering things correctly? If it’s Albuquerque, then I missed that and that’s fine. The timeline may hold then. All I saw was the “12 hours before bombs” line.
You’re right, I just rewatched it. It wasn’t in the scene in the beginning where they’re still in the warehouse, I don’t think.
Maybe it’s certain heavy metals that will be hit with neutrons and suggest a different makeup/origin for the bomb, or something. But because that part is improvised doesn’t mean it’s not supposed to be a nuke, or that the actual bomb itself is home made or improvised.
You have the sequence right – Jake was leaving town when the bombs went off. He was being a looky-loo and had a head-on collision with an elderly couple driving a station wagon. They were killed. Jake’s car was disabled so he started walking, and he ran across the stranded school bus.
But I don’t remember if the first episode told us where Jake was before he got to Jericho. I think I remember him picking up his car from a parking facility somewhere – San Diego, maybe?
