Just so you know more about Jim West, he’s a typical obnoxious right-wing Republican asshat who, while in the state legislature, made no secret of his distaste for the “homosexual agenda.” That’s why this part of the story is so rich (for those who can’t subscribe to the site, here’s a noteworthy passsage):
Heh, should be an interesting week up here. One of the few opportunities to be glad to live in Coeur d’Alene instead of Spokane. I was painting house all day so I’ve missed most of it-- I’d pick up a Spokesman Review, except for the rage it always elicits, so I’ll wait for the morning’s NPR.
Well, all the local talk show hosts on 1510 AM are screaming for West’s head (that is, resignation) so I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually occurs. I am another poster glad to live near Spokane, but not quite in the thick of it.
I do hope that the people of Spokane get rid of the fucker, whether the accusations of molestation (which supposedly occurred in the '70s, when West was a deputy sheriff as well as a Cub Scout leader) prove true or not.
