I would like to know has the “killer” Jerry Lee Lewis ever met the comedian Jerry Lewis?

Did Jerry Lee add the “Lee” because of the other Lewis? Who became famous first, they both hit the scene about the same time (the 1950s).

I could see Jerry Lee and Dean Martin getting drunk together, but the Mississippi redneck and the swave Italian crooner is still a stretch.

Jerry Lewis had already found his fame by 1950. Jerry Lee Lewis didn’t hit it big til later, when in 1957 he released his first hit single, “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.”
