About a film, but I’m looking for a factual answer.
In what film did Jerry Lewis screech his famous ‘Hey, LADY!’ line?

Not sure…but what I want to know is where is the thread where the OP swore Jerry Lewis and Jerry Lee Lewis were the same person? Quite possibly the funniest thread evah.
The Ladies’ Man, 1961
I’m thinking “The Nutty Professor” but until I get my coffee I’m not thinking too well.
Thanks, jayjay.
All of them?
You mean it wasn’t Paul’s Boutique?
My rage burns with the fire of a million suns, by lno, a true classic.
A possibly apocryphal story I recall, but can’t find any substantial proof for:
It’s based on the antics of someone JL was observing irl on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. A twerp of a guy trying to hit on the beauties. But first, the twerpy fellow had to get the girl’s attention. So he would shout, in a very nasally tone, “Hey, LAY-DEE !!” JL was floored by laughter while watching the continuing antics of the hapless loser and decided to try out a version of it on his own friends. Hilarity (of sorts) ensued.
As I said in the preface of this post, I have nothing but a vague recollection of this story, not sure at all of where it might have originated or if it’s even true. So don’t nitpick the story. BUT, if anyone has proof of either it’s veracity or the lack of it, I would be obliged.
When Dean Martin passed away, the Baltimore Sun ran an item quoting a local man who had booked the Martin-Lewis duet when they were unknowns.
He recalled paying Martin more (on the order of $20 per show), “because he could sing”.
He also recalled Lewis’ bizarre, edgy gimmick to signal the beginning of the performance:
In view of the audience, JL would knock loudly on the door of the ladies’ room, bellowing,
"Hey LADIES! C’mon out – the show’s starting!"
My sweet lord! How did I miss that one the first time through??
And the White Castle rant in post #21!!! It brings depths of new meaning to that recent cinematic classic, “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” ! Now I’m required to rent it again and watch it with new eyes, opened by LNO’s genius!
[kisses hand to LNO]
