I was thinking while watching tonite that this ep. was a pilot for a possible new series for O’Connel. The ending seemed to put an end to that, but I could see this episode being “rerun” over summer with a different ending. How about it - Woody and the stoic black guy as partners? Too obvious?
Jerry O’Connel is, in my opinion, a very good actor and it’s a shame he hasn’t done more stuff. Sliders may not have been the best show, but I’ll say one thing about it: the writers made sure to use all the actors to their fullest. O’Connel proved to me that he can be funny, and the nthe next moment be as dramatic as Hell.
Also, I really wish Clevant Derriks (the guy who played Rembrant) would do some more stuff. He is also an amazing actor.
Oh, and PlanMan check the imdb for O’Connel, he’s listed as filming a TV series, ‘Sunset Division’, hwere he plays that detective character from ‘Crossing Jordon.’
Anyone see "Kangaroo Jack? I took Kid, the younger and we both really liked it.
I also got a huge kick out of Joe’s Apartment. Some of my best friends are cockroaches! (Madagascar Hissing, Twospotted, Giant, American… Hey, I work in a zoo, remember?! :D)
I’d watch a series starring Jerry O’Connel, no question. I’ve always liked him and I think it’s about time.
Yep…looks like the setup was last night on Crossing Jordan. It was so obvious that there was some sort of spinoff, not only with the complete focus on the Woody character (O’Connell), but the directing was just so totally different as well. At the end my wife and I figured he was just “introducing” the show, but that he wouldn’t be in it. Of course I guess they were just setting up his future departure from CJ.
I read somewhere (probably People magazine?) that they were thinking of making a spin-off for him. So last night’s episode sure looked like the beginning to me, but I was confused when Jordan showed up? I thought it was an entertaining episode and think he needs his own show too! Margo
