Those of you who recall past comments I’ve made on Ms Alba would probably think I would never say that she’s over-exposed. If anything, I’d prefer she was exposed more - maybe in a black thong. But putting that aside, I saw the commercials for her new movie Awake this evening and I was thinking “Didn’t she just release a new movie? What’s Up Chuck or something?” So I checked IMDB and saw that she has in fact released several new movies - five since the start of 2007: The Ten; Fantastic Four 2 - Rise of the Silver Surfer; Good Luck Chuck; Bill; and now Awake. Now I like Jessica Alba but is it really necessary for her to be putting out a new movie every few weeks? Would it have killed her to have taken a month off and let Rachel McAdams have a movie?
Especially since the more work she gets, the less likely it becomes that she’ll have to go nude to boost her struggling career. Damn it.
Just go watch her dance around in Sin City. Full nude couldn’t be that much better.

I don’t know, this could work out in your favor. Her movies seem to be pretty crappy. She was the flavor of the month about a year ago (probably when these were filming) and now it seems to have passed. A few more years and you might get your wish.

I’m maintaining hope. I figure she’s riding a big wave of publicity now. But her career seems to be stalling and soon some other new actress will be the “it” of the moment. And then maybe some producer will convince Alba she needs to do something “edgier” to advance her career and evoke the recent examples of Natalie Portman, Winona Ryder, and Marisa Tomei.
I will definitely be renting the one with Ms. Tomei in it. She was *so *cute in Wild Hoggs.
She’s been talking a lot in recent interviews about challenging herself and getting more serious roles; I hope that pans out for her–she’s a decent actress (not great, but okay) and seems pretty affable.
The ads for Awake show a scene where she is sitting up in bed nude with her back to the camera, sheets covering her bottom, bare back exposed- I’m betting she doesn’t stand up or turn around.
She is very affable. Many of us guys wish to see more of her aff.

Her first brief nude scene was in Factotum, but you see a lot of her, repeatedly, in the terrific Sidney Lumet film Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, in theaters now. And she’s a smokin’ hottie.
