I have a vague recollection of Who Framed Roger Rabbit , first run, in theaters.
And I have seen what appear to be fan images of Jessica Rabbit, smoking a cigarette, in a long cigarette holder.
And I know that Torch Singers (a female performer, Jessica is one) would often use cigarette holders on stage, as a prop.
And I know that Disney removes inappropriate images from films.
QUESTION : Did Jessica Rabbit smoke in the original, unedited Roger Rabbit?
I thought she looked rather drawn.

IIRC she wielded the cig holder a time or two over the course of the movie. I can’t say from memory whether she took a drag, blew smoke, or we ever saw smoke curling up from the cig.
All my memory and as (un)reliable as you might expect.

Assuming they left in Baby Herman smoking a cigar, I doubt they would bother with removing a cigarette holder.

I don’t recall her smoking in the film (one of my favorites).

No, I never saw Cool World.
But the curtains were real.

There was a scene in which she smoked, in the original draft:

And this image seems to be a depiction from that same portion of the narrative:

These scenes did not make it into the final film, and Ms. Rabbit does not smoke in the public released version.
