I watched part of his show today. Missed a lot, but I’m going to DVR it and watch it all tomorrow.
That seems to be what is happening. I guess Hannity, deep down inside, knows the floodgates are coming open and he can’t cover this up. More and more people are going to come forward, and more and more people are going to corroborate the claims. I wouldn’t be surprised if within a few weeks we end up seeing love notes or photographs from Moore to these teenagers ending up in the press.
Even the other right wing talking heads on Hannity’s show were all saying ‘yup, Moore is lying’. From what little I saw of Hannity’s TV show today, it was basically all the other fox talking heads saying Moore is lying and the victims are telling the truth, while Sean tried to be more restrained. I think Hannity knows the gig is up, and is trying to pretend to be impartial, hoping it all blows over so he can go back to supporting Moore full throttle. It won’t blow over.
Not only that and I’m no bible scholar, but I’m pretty sure that Joseph had nothing to do with Jesus’ conception. To be fair, though, the age difference between Mary and God was even bigger.

I don’t like Hannity. But Chris Cillizza is not much less of a partisan than Hannity. Maybe smarter, maybe more subtle. Doesn’t mean btw that everything either of them say is false. Anyway the Moore story doesn’t particularly depend on Cillizza’s personal credibility, not sure why it’s important to mention him.
On Hannity, again not a fan, but I question the premise from an article’s account of one segment on the show implying that Hannity claims the 14 yr old consented to Moore’s advances so it’s OK. I don’t watch his TV show often and almost never listen to talk radio. But I tuned in to his TV show night before last to see how far he’d go defending ‘his side’ on this, and that’s not what he was saying in his ‘opening monologue’ by then anyway. He was saying it was disqualifying if the story about Moore and the 14 yr old was true, said it over and over. He just presented the position of ‘not rushing to judgement’ whether it was true.
Then he interviewed Moore on his radio show yesterday I believe. I didn’t listen to it live, but heard excerpts of pretty persistent questioning, really not a puffball interview. Against which Moore didn’t do so well, as in saying he didn’t ‘generally’ date teenagers when he was in his 30’s.
My general impression is Hannity leaving room to back down on defending Moore. Even if you want to take the lowest view of Hannity, or other talking heads left and right, they don’t necessarily commit to defending stuff on ‘their side’ that might turn out indefensible as further revelations unfold, in their own self interest.

They are using “If it’s true” as exclusionary, they divide the question along lines of legal proof. They know how difficult as standard that can be for any sexual misconduct issues, even more so at a distance of forty years. So, unless we have the 8 x10 glossy photos with the numbers and the arrows, he’s innocent.
