Jesus, What Exit, do your own damn research...

I was tempted to start 11 separate threads, to complain about the poll choices that WE picked.
Or maybe a separate poll thread about each choice on his polls? “Should Nolan Ryan be on a poll list of the best Starting Pitchers of all time? Yes, No, Never Heard of him.” Times eleventy-one.

Yeah, I voted in the polls too. Consistency is overrated.

So 11 baseball polls in one shot is a little excessive, but 1 thread noting it’s excessiveness is over the top?

No I don’t think its over the top to post a Pit thread to complain about it. I just don’t think its worth much energy to complain about, especially given that those threads have active participation in them. The quickest and most effective way to convey annoyance with someone’s thread is to let it die.

So you’re here promoting conservation of energy?

Yeah, this was really annoying. I wrote my own Pit thread then saw this thread was already in progress. What Exit?, what gives?

Yes! “Save The Outrage For When It Really Counts!”…my new motto.

I’d want to have the ability to applaud/deprecate the Pitting of each of those threads with ease and independently. OP - wouldn’t it have been better to start 11 threads here so we could Pit the Game Room threads separately?

This reminds me of a brainstorm I had a few minutes ago. Would it be a good practical joke to change the background image on a cell phone to all white? With white-on-white, they’d never be able to navigate back to the Change Background menu.

That doesn’t convey annoyance with a thread; it just conveys lack of interest. Plus, no one person can let a thread die.

Now I’m having second thoughts about posting my “who was the greatest batboy” poll…

Third base coaches. We haven’t done third base coaches.

I didn’t know there was a poster name What Exit, so I was thinking the OP was pitting Jesus for not doing his own research.

See? This why we need to separate sports and games into their own forums. So the gamers won’t get upset by all the sports talk blocking their [del]silly[/del] game threads.

Yeah, he’s posting like somebody who takes more than one piece of bread from the bread basket. Who does that? Yes, I am aware they give you more. But now I have to wait, and I have no bread. I am breadless. Where my bread is I do not know, but on my plate, it is not. The nerve of some people.

And, why do they call it ‘baseball?’ Last time I checked, there was more than one. It should be ‘basesball.’ Amiright? C’mon.

Easy, this one.

Who is the current FGIE favorite to win the World Series? The Cincinnatus Rvds, that’s who! I’m going to make my own thread about it and then Pit myself!

Yee-hah!

OK, that was pretty lame, I’ll slink away now.

Actually, I would go with Joe Relford. YOUNGEST MINOR LEAGUER?

I see the smiley, but really? I don’t think I’ve ever posted in a game thread. My objection is not to the content of the posts, it’s just the flood of them all at once. Per the registration agreement:

Do not post the same or similar messages or threads to multiple forums; multiple threads on the same topic; or an excessive number of threads on any topic within a limited period of time.

Emphasis added. 11 in 1 day seems excessive to me.

Do it. If you can post 50 threads quickly enough to block out the frontpage that are interesting enough to hang there for any length of time, more power to you. I pretty much dope via new posts and my user cp so I don’t really care what you do to any individual forum.

I am super motivated to do this but I can’t decide what topic to go for. Cat care? “My iPhone pwns your Android?” “Circumcision = foreskin murder”? Man, I probably can’t get 50 threads out of that.

Need inspiration.

Agreed.
