It was sort of amusing to me, just as your robo-responses to jokes is sort of amusing. And you could’ve ignored her post. And I could’ve ignored yours, and so on.
Who?
Pretty solid U/P combo.
If we are going to be sticklers here, I would say percentage-wise jokes usually aren’t funny. Anyways, your deconstruction of the joke made you look just a little silly, but the “indigo child” rejoinder made you look like a jackass.
Does your username refer to the stick up your ass?
Well, he’s not Outer Stickler.
First base!
Easy question to answer: Dick Grayson. ![]()
MC Hammer, duh.
What?
He’s on second.
Well, no one invited me to it until today. I had no idea I was being pitted and over such a silly thing. As mentioned below, you can only do one poll per thread and they kind of go together. I did screw up one poll though. The one on the Left Fielders. I already apologized for that. I don’t think I did anything even vaguely bad. This is a pretty goofy pitting in fact.
I won’t be doing it again anyway, but I agree with **pricciar **I should have done these slower. Maybe 1 per day or even 1 every 2 days. But honestly I had some free time and decided I wanted to get the SDMB involved in deciding and debate the best in each position. I felt like it was the conclusion to some older threads from a few years before.
Zakalwe, if you’re going to pit someone you could at least have the decency to PM them or mention the pitting in one of those horrible threads that so ruined your day.
So in other words, go to hell you flea bitten excuse for a hot house flower.
(Please ignore this post.)
I see nothing to amuse in this post. I suppose I could have ignored it, but it’s too late now: I’ve already read it.
BTW, when is someone going to create another several Pit threads on this topic? I do approve of the Centerfielder poll, but want to Pit the Rightfielder poll. (Isn’t a rightfielder just a 2nd- or 3rd-string centerfielder?)
I know I was back in 6th grade when I played Forever Right Field. [hint: Don’t vote for me in the poll]
I pit the center fielder thread because of the embarrassing error I made in it.:o Other than that, meh.
At the risk of not being taken seriously after that out-to-lunch post, the right fielder is usually the one with the best throwing arm because he has the longest distance to throw to a base (third). Center fielders are usually chosen for their speed because they have more territory to cover. That’s the thinking in competitive baseball, at least; not so much on the playground.
I was unaware that Jesus did not do his own research. (I knew about What Exit, but I’m OK with it).
