I really like him. Have not yet found a use for him.
Do you have to try to nudge the thread in a certain direction
in order to binrg him into it? Like planning your entire outfit around a purse?
Lemme just see him for a minute…

Ahhh…so cute!

I like that stuff that some Jewish dopers have told me the name of before, but I forgot what it. It’s sausagelike, orangey-colored, made with something no one wants to say, served with gravy.
Please remind me of the name of this dish and put an orthodox smilie next and make both me and sidle happy.
IANAJ, but are you thinking of kishkes? ;j
Kishkes ;j .
Don’t know what that is, but I like the sound of it.
I am a huge fan of Yiddish and similar-type words.
Meshuggeh.
Veclempt.
Schmatte.
Oooo- I’m going blank. I have a couple of Yiddish phrases sites bookmarked.
Yep, I’m just a lil’ old Presbyterian girl in South Carolina who’s dyin’ to be Jewish.
Oh, and…;j !
Kishke. (also known as “Stuffed Derma”). ;j
You live in Queens, by any chance? I’ve got some in the Chulent pot right now that I could give you.
It would be a mitzvah! I don’t suppose you’d be willing to schlep out to Rockland County with a little nosh, nu?;j
Derma! That’s the name I (belatedly) remember. Thank you Dave, cmkeller and smiley Jewish guy!
Is anyone else struck by the amazing and wonderful fact that a Jew from Queens, a Puerto Rican from Brooklyn, a WASP from Pearl River (which is as white as it sounds) and a Presbyterian girl from below the Mason-Dixon Line are all chatting about kishkes, mitzvahs and schmattes?
I love this place!!
OK, one more kosher smilie for sidle (or should that be Tzeitl?) ;j
Hi bubelehs. ;j
Oy vey Maria, am I havink a good time! ;j
DAVEW0071 --what are you thinking?
The little fella’s orthodox --you shouldn’t have used him on a Saturday!
Gevalt!
From this I’m plotzing now!
