wring said that it was it was a mistake to let her have a life.
SPOOFE implied that she was a computer program, and that Manhattan was a Nazi Fascist Moderator.
minty green accused her of trying to extort a coffee mug.
bibliophage made disparaging remarks about her math skills.
No, The Ryan, those were examples of humour. I’m not offended that you couldn’t tell the difference - not surprised, either. I should forewarn you that should you want to debate this matter further, it will have to be done in the Pit.
Coldfire, I hesitate to attempt to discern THeRyans true meaning in most cases, but it *may * be that his post was also an attempt at a joke, and he noted the other ‘joking’ references as examples.
However, trying to attempt to joke about banning is a tricky proposition, as we see here.
The Ryan, I think Dex is about the only mod/admin on this messageboard with whom I haven’t had a difference opinion during my time here, but unless someone who happens to be a mod/admin is clearly posting as such I’ve never found disagreeing with their opinions a problem.
If anything at all, I’ve become aware that the mods/admins here rarely post as individuals anymore, and that when they do and people disagree with them they tend to grant those who disagree a little bit MORE latitude than they would grant if the conflict was between members without mod/admin powers.
I really miss our mods and admins being a part of this community, but when I read thread after thread and post after post criticising them, I can understand why they no longer feel welcome as posters here.
The Ryan I’ve elaborated in the linked Pit thread. Next time, a link which doesn’t include the entire OP will suffice. Yeah, I know, the text links to the appropriate thread, which is in the Pit. You took me literally. Har. Har har.
