Jim Gordon from Gotham

It occured to me that Jim Gordon from Gotham http://images.mstarz.com/data/images/full/32884/ben-mckenzie.jpg?w=600

Reminds me much too much of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit

Now, when I watch, every twitch, smirk, and mouth expression makes me think of Wallace. He mouth just seems so… Claymatic.

Am I alone in this?

Haven’t noticed, but might now. All I do know is that he’s the least interesting character–and actor–on the show.

I never made the direct connection, but it has crossed my mind that he reminds me of a friend, who in turn we always say reminds us of Wallace. So I’ll have *that *to think about now when I watch Gotham. Thannnks, IvoryTowerDenizen:rolleyes: :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve never cared for this actor in the role but have tried to give him a chance and see if he grows on me. He really hasn’t and I don’t know if picturing him as Wallace is going to help or hinder that.

It’s a difficult role, as Gordon* is *meant to the be layers of vanilla in the nut sundae. What direction could he (or even just this TV character) move and not become… Bullock? Or one of the dons? Or a spineless wuss like the captain and the other cops?

Gordon is, and always has been, the mortar that holds the mosaic together and grounds the Batman mythos in something like reality.

In the Wallace and Gromit cartoon “The Wrong Trousers” the villain is a penguin. Hmm…

Yeah… you’re welcome for that.

I like him a lot in this role, but now I can’t watch him speak without thinking his mouth looks just like Wallace. He even makes these little grimaces that look so claymation-like.

He just reminds me of Ryan Atwood. Welcome to the GC, bitch!
