Jimmy Garoppolo trade temporary?

That’s exactly why I expressed so much doubt about the reliability, or significance for that matter, of any of this story.

I agree, that “secretive nature” is why I have trouble putting too much stock in the story. Actually to me it sounds too good to be true.

Fair point.

And, to add a total derail, when did SDMB switch over to the evil EST? Please don’t tell me the Reader moved to New York.

This would be my dream scenario, Jimmy G back with the Pats after TB retires, having gained a lot of playing experience. But I don’t think we’re going to get that lucky.

If it’s after two more years, the Niners will be out of franchise tags for him, so it’s certainly possible.

Meanwhile, they hate us 'cause they ain’t us.

Do you really think there’s no traction to this at all? It’s not like Wickersham is writing his own blog here or something. This is supposedly a researched piece for ESPN Magazine, which isn’t just some rag tabloid.

I am sure the editors of the publication would want at lest some vetting before running with this.

Okay, *how *would he have researched it? Who talked to him, and why? How would ESPN have fact-checked that there’s a “lingering sadness” about the team?

The New York-based media, which includes ESPN, can be pretty damn silly whenever discussing the Pats. Like now, when Giants fans are speculating about getting Belichick as their next coach.

I don’t know how to answer the question but that was an awfully long article of fabricated bullshit if there weren’t any grains of truth to it, particularly surrounding that Guerrero dude and Brady’s TB12 business. That whole thing struck me as very odd.

Almost as if it were an interview with this Guerrero chap, right?
