Job Interview Tips

I’d actually advise against discussing benefits in the first interview - it can come across that you are more interested in what the company can offer you financially rather than your interest in the position. By all means mention that you saw the benefit listed on their website and thought it was a great thing to offer, but only if the interviewer brings it up.

Good call. I’ve stepped into the trap of saying more than I should by an interviewer who acting like we were shooting the shit. Be comfortable but not too comfortable!

And I would advise against her mentioning going for further school; even if it wouldn’t disrupt her work schedule, they might be wary of that. On the flip side, if it’s a requirement to her that she be able to go back, being clear about the schedule and expectations up front is the responsible thing.
