Er, not really. You may consider it a humorous way of phrasing that I believe that there would be a massive gap in the range of experiences, tastes, educational and social background that would be instantly obvious to anyone talking to him for more than a couple of minutes. But I understand how the post could possibly have been misconstrued by someone with no sense of humor whatsoever.

We just got an email from my wife’s acquaintence who was on the show and got the real scoop. The women were told that they were on a “Sex in the City” type reality show to see if any of 20 single, educated women could find romance in Europe. They didn’t know in advance that it was going to be a marry a millionaire show at all as it turns out. They didn’t even know that it was a competition for one guy. She said that they were totally and completely tricked. She is pretty embarrased but has a good sense of humor about it.

That’s her take on it anyhow. Maybe she’s revising history a bit.

Haj, did she say what exactly she was forbidden from disclosing? Obviously she can’t say who won or if they are still together, but a show like this would have to have a pretty strict and wide-ranging NDA, right?

It was just a short email that didn’t have much more info than I already posted. She didn’t say anything about who won or if she won. Reading between the lines, I don’t think that she was the “winner” though. (I will not under any circumstances tell which one she is.) She doesn’t think that she came off looking all that bad.

From the ads, Joe looks a helluva a lot like a guy who was on Road Rules a few years ago (yes, I watch way too much crap television)–I think his name was Adam. He kept forgetting to take his Ritalin and was kind of a jerk to everyone a lot of the time. Anyone else see the resemblence? Any chance it’s him?

I think this guy is a an ex-model elsewhere too, moved to LA.

As far as a construction guy making 19k, if you’re new to town, no seniority, if the building trade is slow, you may make 19K because you may not be working much. He may average 1-2 days a week.
