Doesn’t sound good. I hope he recovers ok. No word yet what went wrong.

Just saw this on Facebook. Quite a few posts from people seemingly in the know are saying cardiac arrest.
Sure hope it wasn’t a major heart attack. I imagine they’ll report more on his condition in the next day or two.
I hope he is okay.
That sucks, hope it’s nothing big. Thoughts for Joe!
A couple fan videos got posted. One shows Perry sitting down and then staggering behind a short wall.
The other vid shows medics attending to him and carrying him off stage.
Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp kept right on performing. I guess the “show must go on” is true.
This was the lead story on NY1 this morning, which consisted of a reporter at the then-empty venue (it was morning) saying several times in the same segment that Joe Perry collapsed on stage and was taken to a hospital, interspersed by reading random ‘famous people’ tweets. Pretty much killing 2.5 to 3 minutes for a 15 second story. I guess nothing else happened in NYC on Sunday.
All that said, I hope Joe Perry has a speedy recovery.
Like their music, never saw him play. I hope he gets well soon.
***And I’m glad we stayed classy in this thread & skipped the cheap-laugh song-title jokes ***
The show rocks on. I guess they’ll hire a session guitarist to play lead guitar?

The band confirmed that it was canceling its scheduled appearance Monday night on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” whose producers said Blink-182 would step in.
But Alice Cooper, the Vampires’ lead singer, announced that the band would resume its nationwide tour Tuesday in Kettering, Ohio.
It’s a good thing Joe wasn’t singing “Walk This Way” at the time, or everyone else would have clutched their chest and sank to the floor.
Reportedly, when Joe got to the hospital, the doctor said: “Dude, looks like an M.I.”
(hey, he’s alive & reportedly doing well, so it’s okay to joke, isn’t it?)
Joe was very lucky. He got immediate attention by EMT’s already at the event. That’s the fastest response possible.
He might not have been found for several hours if he had collapsed in his hotel room.
Hopefully he had minimal heart muscle damage. The quicker a person gets the clot buster shot the better the outcome from a heart attack.
Assuming that’s what happened. No matter what Joe’s medical emergency, fast medical response can make the difference.
Not a lot of detail but he’s doing better:
Even Steven Tyler can’t get any information. I would have thought he could call Joe’s wife directly or at least another person close to the family. Steven and Joe have known each other what? 40 years?
