Ah well, if it’s a censorship-loving Republican then I can savor a bit of irony. But not to the point where it becomes a tu quoque, because what I’d really like is a world with more freedom in the airwaves, where tender-eared adults are expected to put on their big-girl panties and grow the fuck up.
Oh, there simply aren’t enough :rolleyes:s in the world. I don’t know enough about the man to form an opinion either way. What the hell value do you think my “points” are worth? Hint: nothing. I’m just saying that it’s nice to see someone who doesn’t give a fuck about such things as, well, fuck.
Exactly. Must be a slow news day.
So that’s where Nyka(?) comes from, and Willie reminds me of my brother.
I cant believe I missed it! I like to watch MJ, and SquawkBOx. Fox and Friends has the big mouth who almost said Asshole today (he must’ve been up on joes bomb) and made a funny, with Gretchen trying to hide her thighs, those gals are always twisting on the couch in their short skirts, Robin meade is cool too, but she is solo and whips her weather boy all the time.
Yeah, we see it pretty much the same way.
That’s all well and good, but this thread is about him saying “fuck” on the air.
Then why don’t you ask questions, or else leave the conversation to those of us who do know him? I mean, what’s the point of elbowing your way in just to complain about me putting this in the Pit? Is it your Pit or something? Anticipating reactions like yours are exactly why I put it here. So why don’t you just fuck off? More likely, you’ll respond with some self-righteous and ignorant slam. But either way, if you’re not interested in this, there’s no point in trolling the thread.
No, it’s about hoping he gets canned for saying it. Hence: “Fuck you, Joe. And here’s hoping the FCC fines you a million dollars, and MSNBC sends you and your butt-lickers to Fox News where you belong.”
My mistake, I thought the subject of this thread was “Joe Scarborough drops F-bomb on live air,” not “Joe Scarborough is a douchebag, and here’s something he did this morning that no one except me cares about.”
You shouldn’t say ‘fuck,’
no, you shouldn’t say ‘fuck,’
fuck, no!

As best as I can recall, “the F-bomb” worked its way into U.S. broadcast parlance in the early part of the decade, as a way of referring on air to someone having said ‘fuck’ without having to say ‘fuck’ whilst pointing that out.
I agree that it’s a pretty stupid expression.
someone needs to mix in a little decaf.
I don’t necessarily agree with his politics, either, Lib, but I can still appreciate a good f-bomb. Apparently, it wasn’t the first time, either.
Wasn’t **Lib **trying to tell us the other day how the right wing is always manufacturing outrage? I guess they have some company.
Yeah, no one else is talking about it, other than everyone from Huffington Post to Daily Kos.
Yep. My favorite vid is Rachel Maddow ripping him a new asshole.
I think that clip highlights his passive-aggressive style.
at 1:12 or so into it, right after he called a timeout and Nyka is saying come to mommy, did he say he may have been the one on ambien? And why is he worried about his wife killing him and someone said she is worse than the FCC?
they run a very loose ship that is why its fun to watch!
I love hearing Maddow say “President-elect Barack Obama.” It will only improve after Jan 20.
Disappointing, in my opinion. I expected him to respond with list of six other words Joe shouldn’t say on television.
The man is slipping.
Yes, but isn’t criticizing someone - even someone you don’t like - for something you don’t necessarily disapprove of a little disingenuous?
I get that he’s a douchebag…but I don’t care about this. I don’t want him to suffer for this because I wouldn’t want Keith Olbermann to suffer for it if he let it slip. I think we should agree that after all, they are just words.
So we shouldn’t roast him for this. We should roast the fucker for all the other stuff…
I must be a bad Democrat, because I thought it was funnier than fuck.
Yeah. It’s an inside joke on the show. Whenever Mika says anything nice about Obama, Joe blurts out that she’s “in the tank” for Obama and has been mixing ambien with vodka.
The point isn’t to criticize him. The point is my delight in seeing someone who spent a whole year trashing Obama (and his wife, I might add) fucking up in such a manner. Remember when a fatigued Obama mentioned going to all 52 states? Joe yakked about that for two days. If you don’t share in my joy, that’s okay. But I don’t know why you would begrudge it, especially since Joe would hate you if he knew you.
