Last night I talked to a friend who’s my age (mid-thirties). He reads the English music magazines, and apparently Joe was not leading a healthy lifestyle. Smoking and drinking to the end, apparently.
I guess rock pioneers don’t need drugs to die young. (That’s also what killed Jerry Garcia, more or less.)
