Joe Strummer, leader of The Clash, died yesterday at the age of 50. I loved The Clash and his distinctive voice.
I guess he decided whether to stay or go after all. He’ll be sadly missed.

I love the Clash. I didn’t feel a sense of loss when Joey and DeeDee Ramone died, but now…
That was one reunion I was actually hoping for. Talked to him very briefly in a bar a few years ago. In the minute I was with him, he seemed liked a real cool, down to earth sort of guy.
He will be missed.

This was the first piece of news I read this morning ( “A Brief History of Punk”/ “The death of former Clash frontman Joe Strummer has reminded us. . .” “WHAT!? What death of former Clash frontman?”). How depressing. I guess it’s a Clash tribute day in my CD player.
Crap…I saw him twice and they WERE the best.
Yeah, this was the first bit of news I saw this morning too. My office is practically in mourning over here, the slacker punks that we are.

A couple of people in the office have gone home and gotten some old tunes and we are having a Joe Strummer memorial day at the office. This is some great music. Seriously sad day.
Yeah, I have 3 Clash CD’s here, but… I do phone technical support and have ubersensitive mic on my headset so… no can do.
