Principle photography started Jan 15. Could it, after 75+ years of attempts that this movie will come to fruition? Until it is actually showing in a theater I’m not calling it done, but this is a hopeful sign.
Not too thrilled by the casting, but The Pixar connection gives me some hope.

Woah, Samantha Morton is going to be in John Carter of Mars??? Oh, I am so there. I love it when such an uber-indie artist shows up in huge budget pictures. She was also in Minority Report (Agatha the pre-cog). I’ve been a fan ever since 1995’s Band of Gold series.
Pixar? Samantha? It’s all good.
-Are the actors all going to be nekkid??
I think this is one movie that the fans will insist stay as close to the descriptions in the books as possible.
