John From Cincinnati Question

I know there’s not a lot of love for the HBO series John From Cincinnati here on the Dope, but does anyone here know what the whole point of it was? I never did figure out if John was an alien or the second coming or what! Tried to Google it up, but couldn’t find any definitive answers.

Who knows? I thought John was a messenger from God, only God didn’t bother to show him how to communicate. Or maybe John was mentally challenged. Hard to say.
