In the last election cycle, we were subjected to a microscopic dissection of the educations and intelligences of George Bush and Al Gore. But this time around, I haven’t heard anything about John Kerry’s education, other than that he has an undergrad degree from Yale like Bush, and a degree in law.
What were his grades like? What were his SAT scores? Does anyone know?
I am not sure. I do imagine that if it were worthy of a story then it would certainly have come out by now. I don’t really think that the media is biased one way or another (although it objectively seems that way at times) but rather towards sensationalism (thank Jon Stewart for this meme). So it is probably because not as many people question John Kerry’s intelligence as to make a high score an interesting story.
I personally don’t put too much weight in SAT scores, considering those of us who never really got around to using our brain so much until we got to college. But with JFK and GWB both went to nice schools, so they should have done well.
