Might as well draw the circle nearer to a close with a John Thread.
For obvious reasons, the phrase “Strange days, indeed” has been rolling around my head this week. Via google, I realized it was from a John song finished not long before he was murdered, posthumously released on the Milk and Honey album.
I also found that Yoko made a 4-minute promotional video with film clips from the 1970s. It’s great fun, it’s always good to see John again, and it’s simply packed with a variety of marvelous famous ‘70s people (at least, people who were still alive in the ‘70s).
I counted:
Fred Astaire
George Harrison
Dick Cavett
Andy Warhol
Miles Davis.
I’m probably missing some. Take a gander, enjoy yourself, blink your eyes at Yoko’s oddly slutty attire, and tell me who the odd prancing man and the man with the flower are.
Eh, that would be murderer, not murdered. Bit o’ difference there. Come to think of it, how bizarre it is to have a real murder victim and a murderer in that video?
Just my impression but I felt like he was just a guy on the street selling flowers. (You can see he’s standing next to a flower cart.) He saw somebody in a strange costume being filmed so he decided to put himself into the scene by handing them a flower. From the reaction, it doesn’t seem like it was scripted.
