Was he possibly wearing ankle cuffs?
It would be bizarre if he started doing that now.
Four letters outweight the other oddities here? They haven’t even established that it’s the same handwriting yet.

They haven’t even established that it’s his handwriting. (For whatever it’s worth, CNN has an expert saying it isn’t.) On its own, it’s just too easy for that to be a coincidence.
Check post number 277 in the pit thread, they didn’t even do any investigative homework before they arrested him it would seem.
| Unfortunately we got grassed up. |
Well first we each got a stiff rebuke at the local police station, then I had to go and apologize to the guy
- who wanted me to repair a fence
- I conveniently forgot about doing that
Realistically there was not much they could do to us
- we had made everyone look a bit silly, and they should have kept it quiet
I have a suspicion that it was our ‘victim’ who informed the press, he was a town councillor (elected representative) and probably liked the publicity.
However, that letter Ramsay letter really strikes a chord, unusually, I can remember how I thought at various stages in my life, especially as an adolescent male.
I don’t think Karr did it, DNA might prove me wrong, but it looks to me as if someone with a methodical mind tried to shut her up in stages, and that person was not very strong.
I bet every person who knew that guy in high school is digging out their yearbook and looking for his signature to see if it has those initials. And I’d be willing to bet that he signed many books the same way. This week we should know a lot more.
I still can’t answer what BobLibDem was wondering about. However, it now sounds like Karr doesn’t have any secret, potentially-firsthand knowledge about the girl’s body.
According to the AP…
Read that article again. They are referring to the investigation done covertly by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department five years ago, not to the current investigation.
Either way, it sounds like this whole thing is over: Karr’s DNA doesn’t match that found on the girl, and the case is being dropped.
The biggest non-surprise of the month.
At least he can stand trial for the crime he might actually have committed now.
I bet Karr’s relieved to find out he didn’t do it.
I hope he can get this California thing behind him, and get back in the classroom where he belongs.
