Remember him, and his …has a van show? His downbeat, often hapless style always resonated with me. IMDB seems to show him to still be relatively busy, I suppose. Wish he’d find a vehicle to make him more prominent these days.
Ha! Maybe another van?
You speak of H.?
If so: his voice is all over American animation. (I never saw his Van show but would probably like it; good guest stars.)
I’ve only ever seen him on the Aziz Ansari show Master of None. And I couldn’t reconcile his look with his voice. He’s supposed to look like Bob Belcher, or Sterling Archer, or the Coach from Home Movies.
I have the same reaction when I see Dan Castellenata.
Wow…he popped up in the most recent episode of Last Week Tonight.
That’s my guess. H Jon Benjamin does quite a few voices on Bob’s Burgers and Archer. Including Bob and Archer.
About the silly ‘H’ (after his grandfather Harry) - it seemed to stick after Sarah Silverman, without Jon’s consent, included it in the credits of the awesome animated show “Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist”, apparently “just to make fun of me”.
I can’t take him seriously in anything- he’ll always be Ben Katz. That was a great character.
In that show I think the deadbeat son was my favourite.
DK’s befuddled exchanges with his bored secretary were pretty good too.
Huh, yeah! Saw that recently! (pvr’d)
Air traffic controller shenanigans!
That is AWESOME.
I mostly remember how Jon Benjamin Has a Van had this irritating promo. It was filmed from the perspective that you were inside a vehicle and he was knocking on your window, if memory serves. It positively drove me up the wall.
