Jon Stewart on Hulu

The Daily Show is usually on Hulu the day following the broadcast.

Do we know if this will continue throughout the summer?

I don’t have any keen insider info, but I see know reason why not.

Whatever contract is in place that allows Hulu to offer The Daily Show, it’s between Hulu and Comedy Central (possibly between Hulu and Viacom, possibly between Hulu and the show’s producers). If John Oliver, or whoever, will be hosting for the summer it doesn’t affect the contract that’s already in place.

Huh… Eh, Comedy Central already has the full episode available on their website the next day. And I’m guessing it will continue during the summer. It is their show, not Jon Stewart’s. No need to go to Hulu.

Except CC’s player is compete shit and Hulu’s isn’t.

Quoted for Truth.
It’s a shame the player on The Daily Show’s website sucks so bad because ever since I switched to watching it on Hulu I find that I am much less likely to watch the extended interviews (since I can’t do so without going to a completely different site).

IIRC, they briefly pulled the show off Hulu for a few weeks. Presumably they wanted people to watch it on comedy centrals website, instead of Hulu which is owned by several of Viacom’s competitors.

Didn’t last long, for the reason everyone already mentioned, CC’s webstreaming is awful. Apparently they decided they were better off just selling the show to Hulu rather then spending the money to get their own website working tolerably.

Dunno, the webstreaming works fine for me, or at least, for what I want it.

Sorry, currently our video library can only be watched from within the United States

It would be interesting to learn why CC’s player is so flawed. (Why don’t they just lay off a few incompetent programmers and upload to Youtube?)
