JonBenét Ramsay murder case discussion

I think the notion of their being part of billionaire pedophile swap ring in order to score political influence is pretty far out in tin foil hat territory. i think her mother or father or brother got pissed at her for something and killed her out of monetary anger. How old is the brother now?

Mrs. Ramsay went by Patsy, not Patty.

One obvious question is what ‘could’ means and how many other people might also be able to have written it.

Many of these areas of expertise have been heavily challenged in recent years for their level of empirical rigor. I checked wiki on this and all it says is they are more accurate than lay people, which is hardly a ringing endorsement.

FWIW, my brother shared a long drive with the Boulder DA several years back. The DA said, if they had the evidence they would have gone after the family, but they simply didn’t have the evidence.

While on circumstantial, I do believe there is no documented case in the US of a parent that didn’t have serious mental issues that murdered their own child in such a horrendous way.

I just don’t like that if they were poor no would be upset that ANYONE accused them of being pedophile or KNOWING (which I feel they did know) she was being sexually abused. So, only poor kids are molested?

About 24? Last I know he was an engineering student, reported to be functional and socially active. No criminal history or anything like that.

There’s been a lot of compelling evidence in the last few years (now that the media feeding frenzy has died down) that presents the conclusion that the Ramsey’s really did NOT have anything to do with it, and that the “intruder theory” was actually correct all along.

I think it was last year or so that they re-opened the investigation, hoping to try the new DNA technology that’s available now, to see if they can find the perp.

I read about this case in a book called “The Cases That Haunt Us” by former FBI profiler John Douglas. I didn’t even bother to read that chapter at first because I thought it was pretty obvious the parents were the culprits.

I don’t remember the details offhand, but Douglas made a very convincing case that and outside intruder was involved without the parents knowledge. IIRC, there was physical evidence of an unknown person in the house and a possible ransom motive involving very specific (and coincidental) sums of money.

Where does making a career of trotting your 6 year old child around like a prize show pooch fall on that continuum?

I think you need a Reynolds Wrap Tricorn to add the finishing touch to your roll-eyes head.

Because it was the only evidence you mentioned.

For the record, the whackjob who confessed to the crime has been conclusively shown to have been thousands of miles away from Boulder on that Christmas night. He (I think he is a she now) didn’t have anything to do with it.

Someone in that house did it.

Just fyi, no one is laughing at your unfunny tinfoil joke. FYI, I’m NOT the only person who believes Jonbenet was sexually abused. I’m NOT the only person who believes her parents were aware or knew. So, you’re going to have to buy a lot of tin foil and visit various crime and unsolved mysteries forums.

A quote by her grandmother isn’t evidence?

I love how no one addressed my point. That if it were a poor family, no one would be raising eyebrows at the suggestion that she was molested.

Obviously whoever did it was in the house. It wasn’t any of the Ramseys, though. they are conclusively excluded by DNA.

here’s the whole post

what quote?

I would absent any evidence.

And the point was not that rich people can’t molest their kids, but that the Ramseys would have had no need to pimp a kid for MONEY.

When did I say they were pimping her for money? I think people are reading what they assume I’m saying, not what I’m actually saying.

I guess rich little white girls never get molested ever. You know, that’s crazy talk. Just like there’s no white slave sex market. Ok, whatever. Only poor and/or colored kids get abused. Gotcha, Dope.

There is no evidence that THIS rich white girl was sexually abused.
