Dob, I have deleted your link because it seems to be a site selling illegal copies… or, at least, non-sanctioned copies. If I am incorrect, and these are legal copies where the artists/creators/owners of the TV shows receive some sort of payment, then I will be glad to reverse and restore the link.
“He wrote out his own villian’s laugh?”
“I can taste the floor.”
“Fire me, boy!”
I was just about to start a thread like this. What is the deal? The live action version came out almost immediately.
“Smells like… AMBUSH!”
When no one understands you,
Or the little things you do.
Is there a large enough market for the release to be profitable?
I’d love to see it myself. I missed out on most of the Tick the first time around, but based on the episodes I’ve seen, I want more.
How is it that all this time I’ve never noticed that we have a member named AmericanMaid?!?!?
I feel badly, and I apologize. AmericanMaid, it’s good to have finally found you.
I found an online petition asking for the DVDs.
"Hello, my name is Arthur and this is my diversion . . . "
“Hey! A Letter! Somebody love Die Fledermaus!”
SURFS’ UP SPACE PONIES! I’M MAKING GRAVY WITHOUT THE LUMPS TONIGHT!!!
The Taft theme song, especially when he’s talking about his neighbor, you have to hear it to understand…
We had a facial hair gap!
“Arthur,- need- soup!”
“Butter me, Pat!”
“Hug it!”
“No, Tick. I’m Jewish. You’re . . . bluish.”
Have any of you read the original Tick comics from the '80s, #1-12 by Ben Edlund? Terrific stuff, and many of the gags from the cartoon got their start in the comics. They’re mostly collected in 2 or 3 black-and-white trade paperbacks now.
Arthur…is that you…eyes failing…chicken soup only hope of survival…
If you guys are selling insurance, we don’t want any
No Tick, we’re with the government
hmm…no thanks, we’ve got all the government we need
it’s starting to smell a little like danger in here <sniffs>, or heavilly fried food…
I have a few of the comics. Many of the characters and organizations of Tick’s world were detailed in the two volume handbook Circus Of The Mighty.
Besides the Tick, Paul The Samurai had a 3 issue miniseries, then an ongoing series. Man-Eating Cow had a series that lasted a few issues. The Chainsaw Vigilante had a series that also made it only a few issues before cancellation.
