The trailer was a little over the top but I’m interested in the show. I’ll watch the first couple for sure.

You know… I don’t exactly blame them.
It looks awesome. It won’t last more than two seasons. The big networks are not good for SF shows, which tend to draw loyal but small audiences.
Wow, from some of the comments in here I was expecting something boring and Charlie’s Angels-like. The trailer I just saw was dark and awesome. It reminds me a little of La Femme Nikita.
I’ll watch it because it’s Joss Whedon, but casting Eliza Dushku gives me serious pause. Beautiful, beautiful girl, but she well and truly sucks as an actress - she brings down any scene she’s in.
Wow, I have to disagree completely. I take as an example, the episode in Buffy where Faith’s and Buffy’s souls swap bodies. Frankly, Dushku did a much more convincing job (and a very convincing one indeed) at playing Buffy’s soul in Faith’s body than Sarah Gellar did at playing Faith’s soul in Buffy’s body. (Though they both did a great job in that episode.)
For TV acting, I thought Dushku did some of the best acting I ever saw on Buffy in all its seven seasons. She was a bit weak in the seventh season, admittedly, but by that point the directing was way off.
Whedon’s one of those director/producers–Tarantino is another–who can coax good performances out of crappy actors. Sarah Michelle Gellar is a pretty horrible actress, but Whedon got great acting out of her in episodes like The Body and the seaon 5 finale.
All I have to say in response is, “Five by five, B.” 
I haven’t commented on SMG’s acting, since she isn’t going to be in this show.
