I first thought you meant that Journey was going to be playing at the Super Bowl.
Cool doesn’t quite cover it… that is one of the most amazing & awesome things I have ever seen! Thank you so much for posting it!!
Love it! So many great training scenes, but the one towards the end, where they’re galloping the 4-in-hand (or more? it’s hard to see) and being paced by a snowmobile… wow.
GOOD BOYS.
My favorite scene was the guy riding the Clyde in full western tack at a gallop. jealous
Wow, that is spectacular. There were a couple of clips in there that I’d assumed were CG composites, especially the one of two ‘teams’ lining up to play football. What fantastic horses and skilled handlers.
Well, I’ve seen the Bud Clydesdales at county fairs sometimes. And sometimes, when they are in their stalls between shows, “general public” people can get close enough to pet them. That’s all I got to say, I guess. I’ve noticed, in general, that horses like to have their ears scratched.
I hear a lot of “Good boy! Goooood boyyyyyyyy!” on the clips. Do they only use geldings?
Yes, only geldings in the working hitches. In addition, they must stand 18 hands, and must be bay with 4 white feet and a blaze. Anhauser-Busch breeds its own horses and owns several farms; Warm Springs Ranch seems to be the largest and the official breeding facility.
Wow I had no clue that the Bud Clydies were a troupe of trained horses! I thought they just filmed them doing stuff, then edited/photoshopped the relevant bits into commercials.
Clever horsies!
