Last night I watched the women’s marathon from the World Championships. In the stadium Elfenesh Alemu of Ethiopa thought the race finished in the back straight and stopped there. Joyce Chepchumba of Kenya who was trailing her also stopped and told Alemu to keep going to the home straight. She even allowed Alemu to re-establish her lead. Alemu finished 6th. Good on you Joyce.
