Sounds like there is a story there - he cites a “breakdown in band relationships”…
Now it’s not like Priest is in their prime or anything, and frankly haven’t released a great record since Painkiller but it’s still sad news just the same. Tipton and Downing are perhaps one of the greatest guitar duos to ever play hard rock. You can keep Priest going without Halford, but there’s no way to do it without Downing on board.
Sounds like he didn’t think his cut was big enough or something. It’s a shame…Tipton/Downing/Halford/Hill are Priest…c’mon guys, one last hurrah!
In other news, ‘Judas Priest’ is still a band.
