Mrs. Pluto and I got to see Judy Collins, Janis Ian, Richie Havens and Roger McGuinn in concert last night. The concert was on the pier in Seattle, one of the prettiest venues in the country. Mrs. P. got to meet Janis Ian and Richie Haven and got Janis’s autograph.
I’m just posting to recommend this tour to anyone who gets a chance to attend.
I’m guessing, from the appearance of the audience at the Seattle show, that this concert appeals to a certain age group (can you say Woodstock?). But if you are that age don’t miss it!
I went specifically to see Richie Havens, although I like the others. He was great, but the best in show IMHO was Janis Ian. She was fantastic! I knew her as a singer and songwriter but she can really, really play the guitar!
Judy Collins was also terrific. Roger McGuinn (formerly of The Byrds, for you Gen-Xers) was good, a shade behind the others, again IMO.
A must see for all you old farts out there!
