You saw WHO on WHAT tour?

So reading over some of the concert threads on here (including one I started, myself, about 2 months ago), I see a lot of people saying “Oh, I saw Phil Collins on his No Jacket Required Tour!” or “Last concert I went to was the Rolling Stones. It was their Licks Tour” or “Ahh, Bon Jovi. I’ll never forget when I saw them on their Have a Nice Day Tour” or “Anyone else catch a show when U2 were on their Vertigo Tour?”

So my question is…what singers or bands did you see when you saw them on a named tour they were on (and what were the names of the tours)?

I wonder what the chances are that two different posters will have seen a band on the same tour?

Exactly.

Didn’t they open for The Band?

And Guess Who.

And I believe that the definite articles during that tour were provided by The The.

You guys are all Talk Talk

She and Him were decent.

No. Yes.

To answer the OP seriously, I saw the Plimsouls on the 'Roid and Bunion Tour in the summer of '81.

David Bowie on the Ziggy Stardust tour. Do I win? I rather think I did.

I saw Pink Floyd on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.

Alice Cooper on the Billion Dollar Babies Tour.

I saw Queensryche on the Building Empires tour.

I saw Rush on the Roll the Bones tour.

For the number of times I’ve seen Weird Al, it’s low hanging fruit to say which tours.

I saw The Who on their final North American tour.

And Supertramp on the Famous Last Words tour.

ELP on the Brain Salad Surgery tour, and again on the Pirates tour

Allman Brothers, Eat A Peach tour

Who, Who’s Next tour

Beatles, 1965 American Tour

Zappa, Overnite Sensation tour

these are the only ones I can think of that (probably) had a “name” for the tour.

Santana, Zebop tour

Neil Young, Trans tour

Aerosmith, man, they really sucked! tour ('79, Market Square Arena)

Yes, 90125 tour

Phil Collins, No Jacket Required tour.

Pink Floyd, Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.

Rolling Stones, Steel Wheels tour

Boston, Third Stage tour

Van Halen, The Scorpions, and Metallica on the Monsters of Rock tour
I’m sure there are a few others (Rush and Aerosmith come to mind), but I can’t recall exactly when I saw them.

Elton John, Rock of the Westies Tour 1973

I do believe that trumps all the rest of you poseurs.

Both ends of the Bruce Springsteen Born In The USA Tour. A total of 9 shows at the LA Sports Arena and the Coliseum.
