I watched the Music Of David Lynch special the other night. The weird thing is that Julee Cruise didn’t make an appearance. I’m a fan of the TV show (Twin Peaks) and of the music of that world. But, I guess not enough of one to pick up on the fact that Julee & David aren’t on good terms. I went probing around for some details and found this. The quote sounds less than enthusiastic.
I don’t suppose anyone here has any further details?
Hmm, no clue. First I have heard. David Lynch certainly comes across as…idiosyncratic…so who knows?
Man, I love me some **Angelo Badalamenti **though. The TP soundtrack CD is a favorite.
I also love the Twin Peaks soundtrack album. I often play it shuffled with another soundtrack album: Until The End Of The World. Same eerie, creepy sort of vibe.

Julee certainly had the perfect voice for the Twin Peaks songs. I don’t know what success she has had otherwise but I just love her voice. Lynch is a genius. Maybe the two get along, maybe they don’t. I don’t care, I admire them both.
Get her solo album Into the Night, which features a few songs that played in the Twin Peaks series that were not featured on the soundtrack album.
There’s a Twin Peaks documentary (mostly cast interviews) on youtube where she explains it all and says they made up. Perhaps the show you saw was made before they’d reconciled. I have no idea what the youtube doc I saw was. I don’t think it was super old. I do remember that she’s the one that “broke it off” with him and she’s the one who eventually called him.
